Hemp Technologies partnered with Hemp Oil Canada to build their office extension at their food processing facility in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba June 2010.

This was a simple build with double stick 2x4 framing, encased with hemp-lime and steel forms clad to the exterior for weather protection.

Hemp Technologies designed this passive solar house to be built in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Spring 2012. Plans have changed a bit since this first sketch but the Ministry of Housing and Development in Winnipeg have started ground works on a 2 story house in the city of Winnipeg, Canada, to be named the ”Madera House” after our dear friend, David, who passed away July 2012

-36 degrees Celsius…..brrrr it’s cold there. That’s why they’re doing 18” thick Hempcrete walls.

Ian and Cathy Finley moved to Vancouver, Canada 6 years ago from England and have built their sustainable permaculture farm from scratch using around 70% reclaimed and salvaged materials and embracing green technologies.

They grow everything from arugula to zucchini” AND raise animals – pigs, chickens, sheep and goats - all on their five acres. It's all Organic but not "certified", a somewhat contentious issue for discussion that still remains unclear - more on that another time :)

After a devastating house fire Ian, Cathy and family have begun building a new house of Hemp. We will help by running an onsite workshop mid January, 2018 to help them get Hempcrete installed in their new house - even if it is Winter in Canada !!
